What is OTTI?
OTTI stands for U.S. Office of Travel & Tourism Industries.
OTTI´s goal is to enhance the international competitiveness of the U.S. travel and tourism industry and increase its exports, thereby assisting in the creation of U.S. employment and economic growth.
The primary functions of the Office of Travel and Tourism Industries (OTTI) are:
- Management of the travel and tourism statistical system for assessing the economic contribution of the industry and providing the sole source for characteristic statistics on international travel to and from the United States.
- Design and administration of export expansion activities.
- Development and management of tourism policy, strategy and advocacy.
- Technical assistance for expanding international tourism as a key export and assisting in US domestic economic development.
