			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In response to exhibitors&#8217; and buyers&#8217; needs, starting this year, the organisers of <strong>La Cumbre, The Americas´ Travel Industry Summit, have increased the number of meetings that may be pre-scheduled and held during the event.</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p>Starting with its 2012 edition, <strong>La Cumbre, organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions</strong>, will offer its participants <strong>the possibility of pre-scheduling and holding up to a maximum of 36 business meetings between exhibitors from the Americas and buyers and GSAs from all over the world.</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p>That is why the <strong>duration of the event has been extended to 3 complete days</strong>, from 5 to 7 September.  The first day, another edition of the <em>Tourism Branding Forum </em>will be presented and over the next 2 days destination presentations, as well as any pre-scheduled meetings, will take place. Therefore, the event will now conclude on <strong>Friday, 7 September, with the last meeting at 5:30 pm.</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p>This increase in the number of possible meetings is intended to maximise the generation of business during the event between exhibitors, buyers and GSAs, the delegations of which continue seeing a sustained increase, edition after edition. <strong>Currently, more than 80% of the exhibition floor has been sold, while the Hosted Buyer Programme, to date, has attracted 15% more registered buyer versus the same period in 2011.</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p>Through this programme, those<strong> </strong>pre-qualified buyers who register <strong>prior to 15 June 2012</strong>, and meet all of the programme requirements, <strong>will receive a complete refund of their registration fee after the event has concluded</strong>. The objective of this programme, entirely funded by Reed Travel Exhibitions, is to provide incentives and support for the carrying out of meetings and possible business deals between buyers and exhibitors.<strong> It should be remembered that registration for Hosted Buyers closes on 15 June 2012.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The event will take place this coming 5-7 September in Orlando, Florida, at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek | Waldorf Astoria Orlando resort properties. </strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Six months prior to its inaugural date, a large part of the exhibition capacity of the event, organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions, has already been confirmed. La Cumbre will take place from 5-7 September in Orlando, at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek | Waldorf Astoria Orlando resort properties. </strong></p>
<p><strong> The available exhibition booths are being booked at a fast pace</strong>, which fact may be attributed basically to 2 reasons: 1. the array of buyers from the increasing number of segments that join the roster each year—at the last edition, there were buyers in attendance from the following segments: Leisure Travel, Luxury Travel, Group Travel, Corporate Travel, MICE Travel, Adventure Travel, Sports Travel, Golf Travel, Ecotourism and Medical Tourism; and 2. the quality of the buyers, who have to go through a strict pre-qualification process.</p>
<p>This, in turn, resulted in an increase in the number of appointments that the attending delegates may pre-schedule and conduct: <strong>starting with the 2012 edition, it will be possible to schedule up to 36 business meetings over two complete days</strong>, with the event culminating on Friday 7 September at 5:30 pm.</p>
<p>Another driving force behind exhibitors and buyers registering at an impressive rate is the presentation, for the second consecutive year, of the <strong><em>Tourism Branding Forum @ La Cumbre </em></strong>conference programme<strong> </strong>which,<strong> </strong>following the<strong> </strong>positive response to its 2011 edition, will once again offer training and a discussion forum for industry leaders during the first day of the event.</p>
<p>Regarding the expectations for this 2012 edition, <strong>Gastón Isoldi, Director of La Cumbre and Director of New Business Development for the Americas at Reed Travel Exhibitions</strong>, stated: <strong>“La Cumbre has completed the transition that we started years ago. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Reed Travel Exhibitions is moving ahead with preparations for a new edition of La Cumbre, The Americas’ Travel Industry Summit, which will take place from 5-7 September 2012 at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek | Waldorf Astoria Orlando, in Orlando, Florida. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Exhibition spaces have been confirmed at a fast pace since the conclusion of the 2011 edition, with more than 60% of the exhibition floor already confirmed for the 2012 edition. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Registration is now open for GSAs and buyers; limited spaces for hosted buyers are already being filled.</strong></p>
<p><strong>New starting this year, the event will offer the possibility of pre-scheduling up to 36 business meetings, which translates into 20% more meetings</strong>. To that end, the <strong>duration of activities will be extended from two-and-a-half days to three complete days.</strong> The first day of the event, <strong>for the second consecutive year, the <em>Tourism Branding Forum @ La Cumbre </em>will be presented</strong>, offering a conference programme and panels featuring industry-leading companies and organisations. The last two days will be devoted exclusively to business meetings and networking.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Del 7 al 9 de septiembre, en The Venetian, Resort, Hotel &amp; Casino de la ciudad de Las Vegas, Nevada, La Cumbre recibirá a expositores de las Américas,  y compradores internacionales, además de delegaciones de prensa internacional.</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong>El día inaugural contará con la presentación del <strong>Tourism Branding Forum @ La Cumbre</strong>, durante el cual se presentarán y abordarán temáticas de interés para la Industria, incluyendo presentaciones a cargo de <strong>Euromonitor</strong> (Retrospectiva para descubrir el futuro) y <strong>PhoCusWright</strong> (Todos los mercados turísticos migran hacia la presencia online, Latinoamérica incluida). Ambas presentaciones y sus espacios para preguntas y respuestas serán moderados por <strong>Luis Alvarado, Director de Monterrey Tech USA, Inc</strong>.</p>
<p>En el mismo marco, dos paneles tendrán lugar durante la tarde, moderados por <strong>Tom Collinger, Decano Adjunto en la escuela Medill, de la Universidad de Northwestern</strong>. Uno de ellos disertará sobre la utilización de la web por parte de marcas líderes de la industria del turismo, y en él se presentarán representantes de <strong>Hertz, Hilton Worldwide, NYC &amp; Co. y Royal Caribbean</strong>. Más tarde, otro panel integrado por <strong>Google, Juniper Technologies y Grupo Editorial Expansión</strong> ofrecerá perspectivas sobre la actualidad de los medios en línea. Para cerrar el ciclo,<strong> Tom Collinger</strong> brindará una conferencia de cierre sobre la necesidad de integración de los medios online y offline para moldear el crecimiento de una marca.</p>
<p>Luego del ciclo de conferencias, tendrá lugar la <strong>Conferencia de Prensa inaugural</strong>. La misma se llevará a cabo en la sala de espectáculos <strong>Venetian Showroom</strong> del hotel anfitrión, y contará con la presencia y oratoria de <strong>Gastón Isoldi, Director del evento para Reed Exhibitions Latin America, Rafael Villanueva, Director de Ventas Internacionales de Las Vegas Covention and Visitors Authority, del Honorable Oscar Goodman, Ex-Alcalde de la ciudad de Las Vegas, y actual Presidente de la Comisión Anfitriona de Las Vegas CVA; y John Caparella, COO de The Venetian, The Palazzo y Sands Expo, </strong>quienes estarán disponibles para atender las preguntas de delegados de prensa de más de 40 medios internacionales, más la prensa local.<strong> </strong></p>
<p>Durante los días subsiguientes, por la mañana, se llevarán a cabo dos <strong>Presentaciones de Destinos y Productos</strong> por día.  Las organizaciones que ofrecerán dichas presentaciones son <strong>Departamento de Comercio de los Estados Unidos, el Ministerio de Turismo de Ecuador, Forumtel e Intercontinental Hotels Group. </strong></p>
<p>Durante el resto de cada día, se realizarán las <strong>rondas de negocios de citas pre-agendadas entre más de 200 compradores y 220 expositores</strong>.  Al cierre de la edición, luego del mediodía del viernes 9 de septiembre, se realizará el almuerzo de cierre, durante el cual <strong>Visit Orlando anticipará la realización de la próxima edición del evento en ésa ciudad, que se llevará a cabo del 5 al 7 de septiembre de 2012, en los hoteles Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek y Waldorf Astoria Orlando.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Orlando attracts over 50 million tourists annually and is a vacation mecca for people from all over the world.</strong> It is beloved for its theme parks, water parks, shopping malls, and dining; along with its stylish downtown district and thriving nightlife scene.</p>
<p>The <strong>Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando</strong> will be hosting the event and providing accommodations for all attending delegates. The two hotels are neighboring properties and are adjacent to Walt Disney World Theme Parks. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>As of July 1<sup>st</sup>, 2011, the Hosted Buyer Program will no longer be available to buyers registering for La Cumbre. </strong></p>
<p><strong>La Cumbre, The Americas’ Travel Industry Summit </strong>will take place in The Venetian Resort, Hotel &amp; Casino on September 7 – 9, 2011. Show organizers expect <strong>250 exhibitors from The Americas, and 300 pre-qualified buyers arriving primarily from the Americas and throughout the world. </strong>Delegates will have the opportunity to partake in various academic conferences on the first day. In addition, the second and third day of the event will consist of pre-scheduled business meetings. <strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Following the Hosted Buyer deadline, the buyer registration fee will increase from      US$ 500.00 to US$ 600.00. This registration fee includes, and is not limited to, accommodations for 3 nights at The Venetian Resort, Hotel &amp; Casino. </strong></p>
<p><strong>The most important benefit of the Hosted Buyer program is the reimbursement of the US$ 500.00 registration fee. In order to obtain the reimbursement, certain requirements must be met: </strong></p>
<p>-          <strong>Registration and payment must be received no later than July 1<sup>st</sup>.</strong></p>
<p>-          <strong>Pre-schedule a minimum of 25 appointments via our online Insta – Match system.</strong></p>
<p>-          <strong>Attend all pre-scheduled appointments during the event.</strong></p>
<p>-          <strong>Attend at least one destination presentation.</strong></p>
<p>-          <strong>Delegate passport must be submitted prior to the closing luncheon with all confirmed appointment and presentation labels/adhesives. </strong></p>
<p>Ever since the <strong>Hosted Buyer Program’s </strong>inception, it has demonstrated not only to be a great incentive for buyers, but for exhibitors as well. Exhibitors have confirmed that they are able to meet with quality buyers from various segments due to this programs’ success.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>La Cumbre, The Americas’ Travel Industry Summit will feature its 22nd edition September 7th – 9th in Las Vegas; internationally known as the entertainment capital of the world.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Las Vegas</strong> is the city that houses the largest population within the state of Nevada. It is recognized worldwide for its assortment of Casinos &amp; gaming areas as well as its entertainment and world class dining.  In addition, <strong>Las Vegas</strong> has <strong>some of the biggest and luxurious hotels in the world</strong> and offers a wide array of shopping centers and malls.</p>
<p>One of the main resorts, with over 50 restaurants and shops, is the host hotel for <strong>La Cumbre 2011</strong>; the glamorous <strong>The Venetian Resort, Hotel &amp; Casino</strong>; which will not only be hosting the event but also accommodating all attending delegates. The Resort exclusively offers suites in its 3 towers (The Venetian, The Palazzo and Venezia) <strong>with an average size of 700 square feet per suite</strong>. It also features replicas from Ponte di Rialto and Piazza San Marco amongst other attractions.</p>
<p><strong>Las Vegas</strong> has a <strong>hotel capacity of around 150,000 rooms</strong>, and is yearly visited by about <strong>37,300,000 travelers</strong>. It is also an elite destination for meetings and conventions, <strong>annually hosting 18,000 conventions.</strong></p>

<p>With <strong>over 60 shows to choose from</strong>, visitors can enjoy a variety of live performances by Carlos Santana, Celine Dion and Tiësto to name a few. Other shows include The Lion King, seven Cirque du Soleil presentations -including O, Zumanity, Viva Elvis and Mystére-, The Blue Man Group, Phantom–The Las Vegas Spectacular, and Jersey Boys.  These latter 3 shows taking place within The Venetian itself.</p>
<p>The dining and shopping possibilities are enormous, and offer worldwide awarded restaurants, as well as large and comfortable shopping centers such as <strong>Fashion Show Mall, The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, Las Vegas Premium Outlets, and Mandalay Place</strong>, among many others.</p>
<p>Beyond city limits, <strong>Las Vegas</strong> also offers a wide array of sightseeing trips.  The <strong>Mojave Desert </strong>is a sanctuary for nature lovers and hikers alike, whilst the <strong>Hoover Dam and Lake Mead</strong> offer majestic views and historic architecture. Those willing to take a longer trip can take a 280 mile ride by air or ground to visit <strong>the Grand Canyon</strong>.</p>
<p>The host city has expressed its excitement on receiving <strong>La Cumbre</strong> this year, offering its hospitality to <strong>250 exhibitors from The Americas and 300 pre-qualified worldwide buyers</strong>. <strong>La Cumbre</strong> offers a full day of academic conferences and 2 days of pre-scheduled meetings.</p>

<p>With the goal of expanding support, and helping the industry´s growth, <strong>La Cumbre</strong> continues its <strong><em>Hosted Buyer Program</em></strong>, for the third consecutive year.  A continued benefit offered by the <strong><em>Hosted Buyer Program</em></strong> is the reimbursement of the registration fee &#8211; which includes three nights of accommodation at The Venetian- for those who meet the requirements.</p>
<p>Since the inception of the <strong><em>Hosted Buyer Program</em></strong>, it has proven to be not only an incentive for registered buyers, but also, an added benefit for participating exhibitors.  The exhibitors often state that they have seen an increase in the quality throughout the various segments, as well as a growing attendance at the <em>Meetings and Incentive</em> sector.</p>
<p>Rosadela Arenas, who is responsible for buyer recruitment and manages the<em> <strong>Hosted Buyer Program</strong>,</em> stated “In comparison to the last two years, we are seeing a significant growth in registration, which is due to the fact that buyers are finding <strong>La Cumbre</strong> to be an excellent place to do business, where they know they will receive personalized attention.  Our focus is to provide quality personal service. This includes taking into consideration their request and suggestions, and incorporating them whenever possible.”</p>
<p>A relevant detail: by February 1<sup>st</sup>, 2011, registered Hosted Buyers were up by a <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">34%</span></strong> in comparison to the same date in 2010, which clearly shows the program´s popularity among potential attending buyers.</p>

<p><strong>To be a La Cumbre 2011 Hosted Buyer, applicants must comply with these requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Submit registration and complete payment before <strong>July 1, 2011</strong> (limited-availability)</li>
<li>Pre-schedule a <strong>minimum of 25 appointments</strong> through our online system.</li>
<li>Attend <strong>all </strong>pre-scheduled appointments during the event.</li>
<li>Attend at least <strong>one</strong> of four destination presentations.</li>

<p>During this year’s event, <strong>La Cumbre</strong> will be presenting its new <strong>golf tourism</strong> segment. They will also be continuing the growth of its <strong>high-end</strong> segment.</p>
<p>According to the Post Show Report provided by Reed Travel Exhibitions, during the 2010 edition, <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">95%</span></strong> of buyers were <strong>wholesale tour operators</strong>.  Other attendants also included <strong>incentive houses</strong> and <strong>event organizers</strong>, among others.  Countries represented by the buyer delegation included <strong><em>Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Honduras, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Romania, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States of America</em></strong>.  The majority of the exhibitor delegation consisted of <strong>hotels, receptive tour operators, CVBs, resorts,</strong> and <strong>attractions</strong>.  Countries represented by the exhibitor delegation included <strong><em>Argentina, Bahamas, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Panama, Puerto Rico, and the United States of America</em></strong>.</p>

<p>In its 22nd edition, <strong>La Cumbre</strong> will take place <strong>September 7 – 9, at The Venetian Hotel, Resort, and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. </strong></p>
<p>This must attend event continues gathering the most prominent companies from <strong>the Travel Industry</strong>; exhibitors representing different countries of The Americas and buyers from all over the world.</p>
<p>After one complete day of conferences<strong>, 250 exhibitors and 300 pre-qualified buyers</strong> will attend pre-scheduled meetings during the following two intensive business days.</p>
<p>According to the <strong>Post Show Report</strong> provided by <strong>Reed Travel Exhibitions, in the 2010 edition, 95% of the buyers were wholesaler tour operators and part of them -18%- were also wholesaler retailers.  Other attendants also include incentive houses, event organizers, and event management companies</strong>.</p>
<p>These buyers came from the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Honduras, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Romania, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States of America.</p>
<p><strong>Rosadela Arenas</strong>, responsible for the buyer recruitment and the Hosted Buyer Program commented &#8220;We are very pleased to have this wide delegation from different regions<strong>.  Our Hosted Buyer Program it is a great incentive for buyers and exhibitors.  After achieving certain requirements the buyers receive a reimbursement of the registration fee, while the exhibitors confirmed more business meetings and almost eliminate the non shows.&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>On the exhibitor side, <strong>29% were hotels, 23% receptive tour operators, 18% were Convention and Visitors Bureaus, 16% tour operators, 15% resorts, and 10% attractions.  Below the 10% were ranked shopping, transportation, hotel management, theme parks, airlines, entertainment, spa, cruise lines, car rental, conference centers, dinning, gaming, ski, software solutions, educational, rail and media companies.</strong></p>
<p>Argentina, Bahamas, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Panama, Puerto Rico, and the United States of America were represented in the show floor.</p>
<p>Following the 2010 feature segment presentation that introduced High End organizations in the show floor, this year <strong>La Cumbre</strong> will feature a new segment:  <strong>Golf Tourism</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;This annual feature segment presentation is part of a strategic plan that provides and will provide new business opportunities to buyers and exhibitors.&#8221; said Gaston Isoldi, Event Director and Director of Business Development for Reed Exhibitions Latin America.</strong></p>
<p><strong>La Cumbre</strong> will be held at the <strong>spectacular Venetian Hotel, Resort, and Casino, that jointly with The Palazzo will welcome this international event.</strong></p>
<p>This resort is known for being one of the few all-suite hotels in Las Vegas, with <strong>over 4,000 suites located in the 40 story high tower.  Additionally, The Venetian offers its guests a 120,000 Sq. Ft. casino, over 70 shops and restaurants, together with replicas of Venice ́s St. Mark ́s church bell tower and the Rialto bridge among others.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Registrations are currently open for Buyer, GSA, and Exhibitor companies.  Additionally, for the third consecutive year, La Cumbre continues to offer its Hosted Buyer Program, in which by completing five basic requirements, Buyers receive a complete refund of their registration fee.</strong></p>
