Luis Alvarado

 

Luis Alvarado has over 33 years experience in higher education administration, training and consulting in marketing and communications. In addition, he has strong experience in developing international institutional partnerships related to the use of technology for distance education.As a higher education administrator, he managed internal and external communications for the Virtual University sites in Latin America, developed continuing education courses and seminars for Latin American public administrators and officials with instructors and content from Harvard University, the University of Georgetown and the Monterrey Tech; he recently developed a Certificate in Digital Marketing and Loyalty Solutions in partnership with Quaxar, a Digital Marketing company based in Miami, Florida.
As a consultant in marketing and communications he has worked in more than 80 global and medium size companies in the USA, and 18 Latin American countries; he also established international partnerships with institutions like Garcia Marquez Foundation, The World Bank Institute, Inter American Press Association and many other universities and institutions. Dr. Alvarado also met and interviewed more than 100 world leaders for the Virtual University Satellite Network (Henry Kissinger, Don Tapscott, Lech Walesa, Desmond Tutu, Jacques Chirac, among many others).
Currently Dr. Luis Alvarado has the privilege to be Director of the Monterrey Tech USA, Inc. He is responsible of building study abroad and exchange agreements with accredited universities in the US and creating full time internship opportunities in multinational and medium size corporations and research centers in America for Monterrey Tech students. He holds a B.A. in Communications, a M.A. in International Studies and Intercultural Communications and a Ph D in Linguistics. He lives in Boca Raton, Florida.
